History
Our faculty was established based on the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 01.09.1997, including the Department of Business, Economics and International Relations. The Department of International Relations has become active with the students enrolled in the First and Second Education Programs in the 2017-2018 academic year. International Relations program in English language has started in the 2021-2022 academic year.
Aim of the Program
The main purpose of the Department of International Relations is to train students who can follow national and international developments and can be employed in the public and private sectors.
Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully complete all of the courses available in the program are awarded a bachelor's degree in International Relations.

Qualification Requirements and Rules
Undergraduate diploma is given to students who have successfully passed all of the courses available in the Department of International Relations (who have completed a total of 240 ECTS) and have at least 2.0 weighted average out of 4.00.
Transition to Higher Degree Programs
Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can study in postgraduate programs provided that they get a valid grade from the ALES and English requirement exams.
Exams and Evaluation
Students are subjected to at least 1 midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam for each course is 40%, the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Students who get one of the letter grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) from a course are considered successful in that course. (DC) and (DD) grades are conditionally successful grades. In order for the student to be successful in a course in which he / she received DC or DD grade, the GPA must be at least 2.0.
Graduation Requirements
In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to obtain GPA average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 and successfully complete the dissertation.
Employment Opportunities for Graduates
The graduates of DoIR have the opportunity to work in both private and public sector. Our graduates can work at the ministries (e.g., Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Finance), a variety of mass communication institutions and banks, State institutions such as Undersecretariat of Treasury and Foreign Trade. They can also take positions in political parties, civil society organizations, public opinion research companies, media and international organizations including United Nations and European Union.
Specific Admission Requirements
In our country, it is necessary to be successful in YKS (Higher Education Institutions Examination) in order to study in a university. For Turkish Citizens, the attendance to undergraduate programs is only dependent on this exam results. The foreign students are also accepted with limited quota according to YOS results (foreign student examination). Facilities
The academic activities of the International department are carried out with 3 assoc. professor, 3 assistant professors, 2 research assistants with PhD degree, 2 research assistants and 1 lecturer with a PhD degree. Educational and training activities of the department are performed in three classrooms for 75 people and other 10 for 50 people. All classrooms have projection devices and also there is a student computer lab with internet connection and a student cafe. In addition to that, the faculty of economics and administrative sciences has the wireless internet connection opportunity.
